Do you bring along charcoal for the campfire rings in the state and national parks?
Grill a steak, hamburgers (you can even buy them pre-shaped), boneless chicken breasts (marinate in Italiian dressing for a while first) or Salmon. Buy some salad bar salad, dinner's complete.
Bring skewers and put big shrimp or chunks of meat with veggies - onion, green pepper squares, mushrooms, tomatoes - on the skewers for kabobs, and marinate a while first in Italian dressing or teriyaki bottled sauce. Grill them, turning a few times.
Make cowboy packets - start with double layer of heavy duty foil, big squares. Inside, rub a little Italian salad dressing, olive oil or Crisco oil - or use butter. Peel and slice thin some potatoes and onions. Maybe carrots and green beans, whatever you like. Put the veggies on the foil, add a burger patty, fish, or boneless chicken breast. Salt and pepper. Seal the foil a few folds. Cook on the grill about 20 minutes, turn often.
Wrap corn on the cob in foil and cook on the grill. Lots of possibilities.
