Kraft Macaroni and Cheese made according to box and then add a can of dice tomatoes
Or go to the hot dogs, etc. area of the meat counter and there is a selection of refrigerated macaroni & cheese, pulled pork, smashed potatoes, etc. Even have found "uncured beef hot dogs", and they are yummy, tried them last night with Focacia bread instead of buns.
Also have gotten cans of cut green beans by the dozen in the pantry, so can add to lettuce salad or eat half the can as a serving of greens, add spices, onions, garlic, etc.
We keep a container of applesauce in the cupboard also, yes, know we can buy fresh apples and cook it down, but Life is a choice. Served with a side of 2 cookies is a great finish to a meal.
Apples are good, bananas help maintain the glucose levels, and canned pineapple are great together.
Just a few hints from one who prefers to take a walk than spend an hour cooking when weather is good.
