I bought one in 1998 and its still going strong. I do lots of veggies and a lot of cheese has been through it. Also slices potatoes. I thought that eventually the blades would get dull but its still very sharp. I love mine and would never part with it. We just went full time 2 weeks ago and its here in the 5ver too.
