We've had one for years.  We use the grater blade so much that we have worn several out.  You can order a replacement on-line very reasonably.  
Someone else mentioned hash-brown potatoes. That's one of our favorites. Just grate up a couple of potatoes; and toss with a little chopped onion, salt, and pepper. put the mixture on a griddle and flatten it with a spatula. Cook on medium-high for a few minutes on each side untill nice and brown. Arguably the best hash browns you will ever have!
