A suggestion. Get a set that is enamel. Food doesn't pick up metal taste and clean easier. Have to handle a little easier to keep from chipping.
Wife has a real heavy stainless set Inkor with a solid 1/4 inch or so metal base. She is well please with them. The handles haven't degraded or turned rough of course they don't go in the dishwasher.
