Soaked Chip Smokers vs Pellet Smokers

I have tried hickory chips early on but now use just wood chunks, oak, hickory, apple, and even cedar whatever is available. I can get a steady supply of oak from my BIL so I mostly use that. It is interesting to see what some of you guys use and the things you all smoke. Never would have thought about smoking butter or hard boiled eggs.
