Standard microwave question

Happened to have a Sear's repairman over to look at my stove...asked him about the fogging of the microwave...yes, normal!!

I've cooked stuff in the home micro for much, much longer periods of time without any fogging. Do the camper versions just not have a fan in them?

The food in the microwave is heated, releasing steam, which condenses on the cooler glass of the door. The door glass is basically room temp, as the microwave does not heat the air in the oven except as a result of the heated food warming the air. So it's perfectly natural and to be expected.

My manual says that is a normal occurrence when cooking food.

It was common when we had our Lance. I think it is just more noticeable in a smaller oven.

Yup. Every time. We use the steam opportunity to wipe it down too.

Take advantage of it and wipe the inside of the glass with a paper towel.

It's the same principle as steam cleaning.

We get fogged
