The responses to this thread just reinforces what I've always known all along. Thanksgiving is all about traditions, memories and smells. Most of us do what we do because that is what we were brought up to do and Thanksgiving wouldn't be the same without it. Whichever way you and your family do it, someone else's way will never be wrong. My mom used to put the turkey in just before we headed off to church. Opening the door when we got home and getting hit in the face with that wonderful aroma will always stick in my head.
