Toaster Oven Recommendation Wanted

have you thought of something like the nu-wave oven? This is what we use as it is portable, use it inside or outside and gives you some flexibilty it cooking.

Bought a Eurpro convection at a thrift store for $16.00. Works great. It has a curved back that allows a 12" pizza pan to fit which is a nice feature.

Breville BOV800XL Smart Oven 1800-Watt Convection Toaster Oven is the best one known to me so far. It has auto-eject wire rack , removable crumb tray, pizza pan, baking pan, and broil rack included.. It is easy to clean and controls are very intuitive.

It would be better to make sure your toaster oven is safe for using foil that way. One of my friends experienced a fire caused by improper foil usage in toaster oven. Some of the toaster oven manuals say it will be dangerous to wrap foil around cooking equipment.

It takes about 10 minutes to preheat up to 450* and you can use the timer so you don't have to baby sit it. It browned toast evenly other than a very slight burn on the back edge. It is easy to find less expensive models on the market. Black&Decker and Proctor Silex have some basic models under $50.

Sorry I'm so late in responding to this topic. A year or so ago we purchased a Kenmore Digital Toaster Oven ($30 on sale). We own a B motor home and have limited kitchen storage and counter space. This one was perfect for our needs because of its small size and is light weight. I can easily lift it out of the storage cabinet and place on the counter. It came with a baking pan as well as a 9" pizza stone. A 12" pizza will not fit in our small freezer so not being able to bake one didn't matter. Small Corning ware and Pyrex casseroles fit nicely as well as some disposable aluminum foil items. We purchased ours at Sears but Kmart probably carries it. Also has a 2 year warranty.

Thanks for the recommendations thus far. I will be checking out the less expensive ones.

yep, for $250 you might as well buy a convection microwave and a cheap TO.
