Well, after reading about "favorite burger seasonings" all week, I decided that pastrami is one of my favorite hamburger seasonings. LOL! My wife found some corned beef rounds on sale for St. Patrick's Day so one of them went in the smoker this morning for some pastrami to be used with tonight's burgers. I saw a recipe where a guy smoked his burgers too, so, I'm contemplating that as well. Photos to come.

ive done it. i used a coarse ground burger and it was delicious. i didnt run mine all the way i finished them in the oven so they were still alittle bit juicy thinking about its gonna ruin my cheerios.

We put a spicy rub on our corned beef and put it in the smoker. It was so good. We will be cooking all all our corned beef like that.

SD: what about smoked scallops? Ever do those? Wish you had time to do a "Super Dave Smokin' " blog. You'd have steady readers in our family. Seriously. :c

Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!You're KILLING me. Just finished talking to a fellow local camper who is also smoking a brisket (she lives in NJ; land of backyards)this weekend. We've been conversing about the pros/cons of different spices and meat cuts in the process for the last week or so. Somehow been able to make it through the discussion w/o having my drool short out the telephone wire; then comes YOUR pic.You are all evil and I think the man is gonna have to make a trip to Katz's (That's right. Not Carnegie's) before the weekend is out:R :D.

We polished off the last of the pastrami last night and decided to go deli style. Best Ruben sandwiches, ever.

When every thing is said and done I think the 'strami burger with accoutrements falls under the category of hard core food porn.
