Dishtowels or an old bath towel work fine for me; never had a problem with lint but you want to use a tightly woven natural fabric. Keep in mind that our ancestors used fabric to dry dishes and glasses long before automatic dishwashers became the norm. Take a look at William-Sonoma dishtowels; kinda funny just had a 2 page discussion on 'em at another forum I frequent, LOL.
Should you prefer I'm sure various CI makers sell quilted covers. I wouldn't store my CI long term in garbage bags due to concerns about off gassing and food surfaces.
