I have my great grandmother's. We have a folding table that goes under the awning in front of the trailer. I made a heavy, plastic fitted cover for the table. Rubbermaid storage boxes fit under the table. One of them has, among many other things. the griddle.
We are camping 80-100 nights most years. Nothing has ever been stolen from under the table.
The griddle could also be wrapped in a heavy towel and put under the sofa.
If we are traveling the boxes stay on one of the bunks.
