Twinkie Cake
Much to my amazement, this was actually rather tasty.
1 1/2 boxes Twinkies (15)
1 large box strawberry Jello
1 large box instant vanilla pudding
2 cups whipped cream (add a little sweetener if you like)
Line 9x13 inch cake pan with Twinkies. Mix Jello with 2 cups hot water. Stir until dissolved, then pour in 1 cup cold water. Pour over Twinkies and refrigerate 30 minutes.
Mix pudding as directed. Spread over Twinkie mixture. Top with whipped cream. Refrigerate.
Regan's alterations:
Substitute pound cake or loaf style angel food cake for the Twinkies.
Spread 2 cups fresh or frozen and defrosted sliced strawberries over the cake, then pour on the Jello.
