It is 35 degrees and raining right now and the max temp I could get was 235 degrees, the smoker is on my carport. I would love to have a propane smoker but this one was free. With a new 16 yr old driver in the house, the cheaper the better!
BTW, it has no thermostat, just plug it up and go.
If interested in converting it, I did my first electric by swapping out the element for a gas burner. Let me know if you are interested in any of the details.
