WAlmarts with wine?

Hubby is looking for cheap wine...Oakleaf is what he likes and its cheap and we got it at walmart in florida (not all walmarts).

Looking at the following states...any idea which ones may have it...short of calling each one? Along route 80...Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Indiana, Colorado (okay not route 80 there). Utah? Arizona?

  • Most states that allow grocery stores to carry wine Walmart sells wine. Some states have very strict laws. Only allow wine in liquor stores. Some states control which brands can even come into their state. Some states you have to buy from state liquor stores. I'm sure AZ, CA, NV are some the easy states. Some towns in Utah are dry. No liquor is sold. Stock up when you can.
  • Why not just buy enough at the start to get you through to the end?
  • Walmart in Davenport, Iowa, has wine (I-74 off I-80) but there's a state bottle deposit.

    Possible Alternatives:
    Aldi: Winking Owl Shiraz.
    Trader Joe's: Charles Shaw a/k/a Two-Buck Chuck
    (both about $3).
