Ways you make Smores?

A year or so ago, we saw the recipe using peeps and putting it in the microwave to heat up. Basically you put it the peep (actually half is much better and less messier) on a graham cracker. Put it in the microwave for a small amount of time (forget what it is but you can google it). It softens the peep. Put your chocoalte and the nother graham cracker. It's really good.

There's different ways of roasting marshmallows. I think I have some on our pinterest. If you go to our website and look over to the right, you will see the latest pinterest pins. Look there and you should see some ideas.

There's another company making "twinkie look-alikes"..... they taste almost the same. You can get them at most stores here on the west coast..........don't ask me how I know.

Chocolate covered graham crackers
White chocolate and almond candy bars

Fudge stripe cookies
Reese's cups

Actually I like to make a tray with several kinds of cookies, and several types of bar chocolate and the typical marshmallows. We used to also use those toasted coconut covered marshmallows but I haven't seen them in a while.

Try chocolate chip cookies instead of graham crackers.

This morning's paper had suggestions for S'mores!!!!

1) Caramel Nectarine...... graham crackers, marshmallows, caramel sauce and grilled nectarines. (brush nectarines with vegetable oil and spring with sugar and ground ginger).

2) Peanut Butter and banana ---- cut 2 bananas in half lengthwise, leaving skin on. Brush with oil and grill, cut side down, over direct heat for 2-3 minutes. Peel and cut each into thirds.....stack with other ingredients. NOTE: uses sugar cookies instead of graham crackers.

3) Strawberry and chocolate --- Soak 2 wooden skewers in water, 30 minutes. Halve 8 strawberries and toss with powdered sugar. Thread on skewers and grill over direct medium-low heat, turning often, for 5 minutes. Take strawberries off skewers and slice. Stack with remain ingredients (choco chip cookie, marshmallows and milk chocolate square)....
