If we're only going to be gone 3-5 days I do quite a bit of prep work at home. I cook up bacon (and freeze it). I have a lot of fresh veggies chopped and bagged. I pre-shred cheese. I can mix up a salad, stir fry, quesadillas or BLT's in a blink.
I prefer to BBQ meats outside, but if the weather is taking a nose dive I'll pan grill it inside (under the stove hood). Or whip up a stir fry with the meat and fresh veggies.
We just got a new grill this summer. It's a medium size Aussie grill. Like all grills it takes awhile to get used to something, but it's grilled pizza's and other things beautifully. We got it on sale for $89.00

I've been pretty grossed OUT at some of the STUFF I've seen in the fire rings. I'll only burn WOOD in them.
