Most of the rest of the world measures by mass not volume as the USA does.
Still that could make one scratch their head over the lime juice unless the recipe's writer having already weighed out the other ingredients opted to do the same with the juice. That would be similar to the way some grandmothers (at least one of mine:D)measured everything using a non standardized teacup belonging to her household. If your teacup was bigger or smaller at least you had some idea of the ratio, LOL. - Jack_Diane_FreeExplorerIt would certainly not be grams. 2 grams is a very small amount of anything.
- dahkotaExplorerMost of the world uses metric measures, not random american sizes.
Here is a conversion chart or two. - HelimechExplorerHardly think it would be grams.

Have a recipe that calls for
2 col avocados
2 - g chopped cilantro,
1 - g diced tomatoes,
1 - 2 g lime juice.
What does the col and/or g stand for?
I don't know what the "2 col avocados" part means but I suspect the rest reads this way:
2 - grams chopped cilantro
2 - grams diced tomatoes
1 - 2 grams lime juice
Maybe the "col" part stands for a variety of avocado common to wherever the writer of this recipe comes from originally?
Best I can think up. - eDUBzExplorerWe dont measure just keeping mixing and adding to your taste. It's simple don't over complicate it :)
- WyoTravelerExplorerHmmmmmmm, never used a recipe for making guacamole. Just put it all together until it tastes good. Some gringos don't like taste of cilantro so taste it first or as you add it. Or just buy some salsa and mix a few avacados with it.
