It is only just the 'color' of the pan and not even related to actually BEING green. Sadly just another marketing ploy.
Toxic Teflon PTFE-PFOA will no longer be allowed to be used on pans as of 2014. So there are a lot of these ceramic companies jumping in to try and capture the market.
BUT you have to make 'sure' to read the label that the ceramic pan you buy is clearly marked lead free. And no surprise if it is made in another country it will NOT be lead free.
