I agree with many here. We eat better when camping, probably for several reasons.
We almost never dutch oven cook at home, but ALWAYS do it at least once per camping trip. Similarly, we don't grill much at home, and although we have a firepit in the back yard, it only gets occasional use when we have company.
- Cooking/Eating is a major part of our camping experience. Dutch Over, grill over the fire, grill on the portable gas grill, crock pot meals after a day of hiking, etc.
Time for cooking/eating - no other real "have to's" when we are camping. Sure some days are event filled, but others are just sit back and relax.
