Why Didn't I Think of This?

This should work well on the Q's I'm going to get one of these to use on my Q. According to the reviews it's a good fit for the 100/120.Should work well for bacon, etc.

This is something that hasn't crossed my mind, but should great in the summer when it's too hot to be inside.
  • We have used something similar to that for years on our Baby weber as well as the Q at home. Hubby does brekky on it year round. A couple of weeks ago it was -26 C and about 10 inches of snow had fallen but he cleaned it off the Q and made brekky.

Another use for the muffin tins is to mix up eggs like a western or quiche and pour in then put on the Q.
  • Put a little water in each cup and cover. Steam will take care of top
  • I suspect it would work using the method I generally use at the house. I wouldn't do enough for an army, like the picture appears to do. I cook my eggs in a hot pan, covered for one minute and then remove them and like rice, let them steam for 30 seconds more. This works well for me from my refrigerator. I suspect that the temp of the eggs would dictate timing. On the grill a lid of AL foil might for fine.
With some experimentation i think I could do a half dozen eggs sunny side up all at one time. That's the attraction for me. I hate cooking breakfast two at a time when doing for 3 or 4 people.
  • This one takes some finesse. The top stays VERY runny and by the time the top looks like you think you'd want it, the yolk is rock solid.

  • For bacon I just make a tray out of foil...cooks bacon on the grill just fine. If I want the grease for something I have it. If not, I let it cool, wad up the foil and throw it all away after the bacon is done....no extra pan to haul along and no clean up.
