I remember Gram using one when I was a kid but Mom had a pot of beans blow and hates them.
I found one new in the box at a garage sale for $10 back in the 80s and never stopped using them. Right now we have one that came with a 6q and 4q SS pots. I kinda miss my old one with the rocker on top but these do fine.
Lately we have been using them for Mexican foods. Pazole, Green chili sauce, carnitas, the fillers for tacos, enchiladas and tamales, and when we are done wrapping the tamales, they are cooked in the PC too.
One thing is don't cheap out. Bed bath and Beyond had one for $20 that I was going to get for the trailer until I read the reviews. Seems most wouldn't seal after the first use.
