WW Recipes That Can Be Frozen

Going to Alaska this summer and would love to have some "tried and true" Weight Watcher recipes that can be made ahead and frozen flat in Zip Lock bags. Have thought of tortilla and taco soups, taco meat, Creole Turkey Cutlets, and pasta sauce. I have learned that potatoes in soups and stews don't freeze all that well, plus we really don't need them so am avoiding recipes with potatoes. Would love to have any of your favorites. Thanks so much!

  • The crockpot chile recipe freezes really well and fits what you are looking for. Also I think the Santa Fe Chicken would do well for you.
  • Thanks for the great suggestions and yes I am familiar with the WW thread, I have printed many of the recipes and make several regularly! We just got home from Florida where we bought lots of fresh fish. I made Steve's Dijon Crusted Fish. That is a great recipe, I used grouper while in FL, but it is also good on salmon, cod or halibut. What I am looking for are good WW recipes that freeze well. Since we are facing such a long drive, I wanted to make and freeze here at home so dinner would be easy while on the road. Since freezer space is precious I wanted to do things that I could freeze in flat packages, I.e., freezer bags. Thanks again for your help.

  • Have you tried the WW boards? You dont have to be a paying member to access them and they're full of tried and true member recipes.
Not to say you won't get good ones here, but you'll get many may more there.
Also Steve Ruff hasa large and excellent WW thread here, it just needs to be bumped up.
  • I often take taco meat already cooked and in a ziplock.
Cooked and sliced brisket with broth in meal sized zip lock bags.
cooked and rough chopped chicken for salad or ala king or alfredo.
cooked pork roast, chopped or pulled for bbq or tacos.
pinto beans, cooked and into meal sized ziplocks.
