camping around New Orleans
We've never been to New orleans and it looks like we are doing a very last minute trip there somewhere between Fathers day and July 4th weekends. Does anyone have experiences at any of the campgrounds...

Bayou Signette State Park is a great campground. No shuttle, but they have a nice swimming pool/splash pad for the kids. It is fairly close to downtown and is secure.
Attractions are Bourbon Street (mainly for the adults), The French Quarter. The WWII Museum is great for everyone.
Get some good Cajun food at lots of places down in the 'Quarter.
