camping ideas for Maine
We are planning a trip for a family of four plus dog to Maine from Ohio. Does anyone have any recommendations for campgrounds in Maine and how soon should we make reservations for summer 2014? Thx

What are your interests? Along the coast we like to go to Eastport, Camden Hills/Rockport, York, Sacaborough, Bar Harbor. When visiting away from the coast we like the Moose Head Lake area and Sabago Lake Region. If you go to Eastport, bring your passports so you can visit Campabello Island, Canada. We decide on where we are camping depending on if the grand kids come along. Check out whale/puffin watches and ride a schooner. Plenty of great moose watching areas in the Moose Head area.
