Looking for nice locations on the east coast (NY, MI,PA,OH, WV, VA) for a week long family camping trip.

Assuming Maryland meets your criteria... east coast north of Virginia... I highly recommend Assateague island State Park. Right on the beach with the wild ponies, Very few electric sites, but a nice steady breeze let us survive August without air-conditioning. Generators are allowed..and plenty of clean bathrooms with good showers
