My family never camped growing up and they still find the idea unappealing.
My husband and I started to tent camp when we were 20 and wanted to go across the state to ride dune buggies in the sand dunes. We were college students and too broke to afford a hotel.......so we asked for a tent as a wedding present and voila! Tent camping started for us.
It has just evolved as we realized how much we genuinely enjoy the lifestyle. We used a tent until baby #3 came along and we just couldn't 'fit' into a tent anymore. Got our first TT a few years ago and after only a year of that, we bought a brand new TT. This year we have 10 trips planned. Tenting was fine when it suited our lifestyle, but I seriously don't miss it at all. Love the TT.
