We absolutely loved Rafter J in Hill City. They have various levels of campsites. We had trouble with our truck and were delayed there longer than expected. They really worked with us. Also, there are several nice campgrounds within Custer State Park. Our favorite campgrounds in Custer are Game Lodge, Grace Coolidge and Stockage North.
We stayed at Badlands KOA when we were visiting the Badlands and Wall. If you want to be more in town, there are two RV parks in Wall - Arrow RV Park and Sleepy Hollow. Both are within walking distance to Wall Drug, but we liked Sleepy Hollow when we checked out both parks for future reference.
