Spots in Reno, Nv.

Hey there,

I'll be rolling through Reno, Nv in a bit and was wondering what campgrounds are good for an overnight stay?? I've got a 37' that may be towing and I'd like a place with pull thru sites long enough so I don't have to unhook just for a night. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!!
  • Thank you everyone!!! I plan on rolling through Reno from the south on highway 395 in a few months and just starting to plan our route in the MH. Thanks again!!
  • I just remembered another one we've staying in.....It's Shamrock RV park....on Parr Blvd between Business 395 and new Hwy 395. EASY to get to, easy in and out, clean..... I remember seeing big rigs in the park, but don't know how long the sites are. They have plenty of pull throughs. And the Bonanza Casino is right around the corner!!!!!

We too have stayed here, however, the pull throughs are not long enough for mh and toad. Our previous coach was 35' and the toad stuck so far out into the street that the park mgr had to put red cones out behind the toad. Our new coach is 43' and we definitely have to un-hook to stay in the pull thoughs.

That said, this is probably the cleanest park in the Reno/Sparks area. It is a little difficult to get to, but managable with a long rig. There are fine restaurants and shoping within a 10 minute walk along with the marina park itself.

I assume you're coming up 14/395. There is a good park located just south of Carson City (Silver City RV Park) that is easy in, easy out...plus they have diesel available right there at the park. Nothing fancy mind you, but really easy to get in and out with long pull throughs so you don't have to unhook. Good place for overnight stay.

  • You don't say which route you travel...and you may be already there, however, we stay at Fallon RV park in Fallon..... nice, quiet park.

  • Gold Ranch in Verdi has lots of 'pull-thru' sites. Pretty nice place, too. Restaurant in casino and gas/diesel on site. Easy on/off IR 80.
  • Most can accommodate your rig and all are right off the highways. Best way to pick is Here
