There seems to be two types of campers out there....the resort, full hook-up paved road "Disney-World" kind of campers and the campers looking for the unspoiled wilderness side of camping.
Many RV campers never venture beyond the paved RV resorts. I feel they are missing the real thrills and rewards of camping in a wilderness setting. Now don't get me wrong, I like creature comforts just like everybody else but the wild side offers me a chance to recharge my batteries and get in touch with nature.

How wrong you are. Many of the RVers that have RV park RVs have been there done that for many years. I have been camping since the early 50s. Sleeping bag on the ground, (didn't have room in the MG midget for more than a sleeping bag) then to pup tents, on to modern full size tents, then shoveling out the horse trailers and sleeping in the horse trail away from the bears, moved on to TC shells up off the ground, then to full size TCs, TTs, MHs, 5vers, back to MHs.
I'm with WyoTraveler here. You just aren't taking into consideration the "age" of what you call campers. The average age of "campers" who have the large motor homes and that stay at "Disney World" parks is over 60. Probably 95% of those (including us) have the same experiences that WyoTravler mentioned above.
FWIW, we don't "camp" anymore. Our MH is outfitted with all the creature comforts we have at home and enjoy them to the fullest. We are not campers...we are rv'ers.
