Hwy 12 is a beautiful drive. Suggest after doing that pass with all the curves and such that you take a break at the Lolo Hot Springs and RV Park Really enjoyed our time there. Depending on how much time you have, you could do the museum in Anaconda or head over to 3 Rivers. Another is any of the Buffalo cliffs in the area. Then, just before you reach YNP you could stay at Henry's lake or one of the other parks along the Madison - Macks Lodge, Island Park, etc. There is a wolf sanctuary that is well worth it and of course the Playhouse for a treat.
