Update: Not exactly sure how to post an update.
Our 17 y/o (18 in May) doxie, crossed over the Rainbow Bridge yesterday morning at 6AM. I don't believe she ever was in pain, as she never did cry or whine. The last few days of her life, her appetite decreased and she did not have the desire to drink nearly as much water. The last day of her life, I gave her water with a syringe, as she wasn't drinking and her little nose was getting so dry and flaky. She slept a lot and never did have an accident in the house. We carried her outside and she managed to do her business...even though it was 10-15 degrees below zero. We are so thankful that she died in her sleep, as we were planning to have her euthanized that day. She has left us brokenhearted, but we are so thankful to have had her as a faithful friend and companion for nearly 18 years. RIP Molly.
