Very good points, Rock. Medical issues with old pets are such an emotional dilemma. It's hard to know if we're going far enough or too far with tests and treatment and whether we're doing it for the pet's sake or our own. For many, the financial aspect is a biggie, too. I am happy you got some more time with your old friend.
on edit: I did not notice this was an old post and missed the above update about Molly. I'm so sorry for your loss, Doxieparents. She obviously had a long, happy life and I know you miss her terribly.
