There is a huge advantage to our breed; it does not have to be shorn. It sheds its winter coat.
We're good with twins and okay with triplets if the mom takes care of all 3. Singles and poor mothering will lead to removal from our flock. We typically do not have snow cover for as long as we have had it this year. If they were lambing out in the field there would be less work. Experienced mothers giving birth to twins rarely need help.
