The last single and ewe (1st time mom) were penned for several days to make sure the new mom would take care of her lamb. When the weather warmed up we turned all those penned up lose. The orphan has been accepted by its new mom. However, the last ewe to lamb did not take good enough care of her baby and it got cold and weak. We penned them up again and the lamb regained strength and then let them lose when it warmed up. The ewe left her lamb again and this time we were not able to save the lamb. This ewe will be culled from our flock.
