I lived in the midwest where in 30 years of dogs I 'never' had fleas.
Fast forward to traveling and staying in Florida I know know how to spell fleas.:( If I have any regrets going south its the fleas. How DO you people live with it!
Unfortunately I can not use any of the spot on products. Small dogs and I almost lost 2 of them when I tried one of those products. 2 dogs in IC for several days cured me of ever using those products ever again. Watch your dogs after you put it on. Many don't get terminally sick but they do present with looking ill afterwards. some pet owners just don't observe it.
That leaves me with diligently shampooing. And on the advice of a fellow RV'er and as Doc mentions - vacuum, vacuum, vacuum. This makes a big difference in getting a hold and stopping the cycle.
I did find one all natural product that words extremely well. Pricey but works and no chems. Can't find it on line and only one pet store that I know of carries it and presently I am too many miles from it. Hoping they will ship to me. In mean time Adams works does stop the eggs from hatching and no adverse reaction to the dogs like some flea shampoos can and do.
