While you are looking up things on the computer, you might wish to look up fresh pursuit and exigent circumstances. The officers would have needed your permission to check your vehicle and MH. It makes me wonder why the reading leaves one with the belief that they walked all over your rights. As for stand your ground laws, I am not familiar with Florida but often one needs to be in fear of their life and or others are in jeopardy. Otherwise one could just shoot the Avon Lady for walking across your property to knock on your door. A lesson for many to understand.
I am sorry that this happened but happy that our brave officers are looking for those that should not be out in society and risking the lives and property of law abiding people.
Me, I would have told my dog to sit and chill, which he would have, and offered coffee to the officer while they searched my location to make sure the person of interest was not secreted some place unknown to you and to the officers. Suspects never hide in attics, sheds or under cars, never.
I am glad it all turned out well and you could share a good story for all us to learn from.
