I have 4 small dogs.
If this is a repeat occurrence as you have indicated, then your dogs do not appear to be secured properly.
And here's a news flash, albeit clearly stated in my OP, at the time I did NOT know it was a police dog.
I never said otherwise. It could have been a nutbag with a gun.
My biggest concern, which you didn't address, is you have NO respect for what ANY firearm can do. A BB gun can be lethal. I have 35+ years as a firearms instructor and am politically active. Think a BB gun doesn't deserve the respect of a true firearm? Think again. A couple of years ago a 17 year old was killed in town by a BB gun. It does happen.
You came here looking for vindication and you didn't get it from me. No apology forthcoming-I really think you need to sit back when you can clear your head and reassess how you approach your dog's safety. Wouldn't it make more sense to prevent these situations rather than have to react after the fact? Just sayin'.
