Andy had surgery yesterday - update 3/26

Andy had 5 small black colored tumors removed yesterday. He still has higher liver values but my vet thought it would be best to remove the tumors now. He did take a set of x-rays and nothing showed up internally, so we went ahead with the surgery and also did a dental cleaning. The tumors will be biopsied and I'll get the results in 5-7 days. Andy is home now, wearing an inflatable collar and a T-shirt. Hopefully the biopsy results will not be bad - it if is cancer I hope we got it all and he needs no chemo. At home he's eating normally and being his usual self. He has not been acting ill during these past winter months, and does not appear to be in any pain. I've only had Andy 4 years, and hope this surgery will prolong his life. It's tough being a dog mom - you just never know what can happen. Love your furbabies while you have them with you.
