I'm so sorry Dr. Doug, first about your mother and then the loss of your beloved companion Charmin. Losing those we love, no matter how many legs they have, is so very difficult. I lost my beloved little shadow, Missy, my faithful little companion of over 14 years. She was almost 16 (15 years 7 months) when she begain pacing incessantly and was confused. Tests indicated something with her liver. We had to let her go and help her to the Bridge. Rest easy that your mother and faithful sidekick are together comforting one another as they would you, if they could.
