Best vacuum for pet hair

I bought a shark professional, living with three wolfhound and a terrier and couldn't be happier with how it handles dog hair. I felt my old dyson just was not doing it's job anymore anymore and I was right. It's lighter weight tha the dyson so I've found it can tip over easier but for the cost vs value tradeoff, I feel I'm ahead over replacing with another dyson.

Very best way to take dog hair off of cloth furniture that I've found is to use a slightly damp terry cloth and brush briskly in the direction of the nap. It will also remove the surface dirt.
