Where we live Blue-jays don't migrate. However this is a year of change for many migratory and non-migratory species. Many, but not all, will change their patterns during this El Nino year. If your area is expected to be warmer than normal some migratory species may not leave and vice-versa. This is not an absolute but a strongly, evidence based, documented theory from the Cornell School of Ornithology.
