our little pom has gotten worse over this past year. We are camping right now in Mt. Lakes and we were here a few months ago. Our KC couldn't handle the steps this time. It just broke my heart. My husband and I have been picking her up to put her in and take her out so this post was right on time. I never thought to ask questions. Both our dogs have harness type leashes and they do give you leverage if they start to fall. At 85 pounds you better make sure you have something to hang on to also.
KC navigates around the house but we did notice a change when she couldn't see the baby carrots on the floor. We give her them for treats when she gets her shots. Now we have to hand feed her. :( I do keep an eye on her levels. I noticed she was drinking a lot of water and took her blood, it was close to 300 so we upped her insulin and she stopped guzzling.
