Maddie is a little thing, she is a butterball though. She is 11 pounds and the doc said 10 pounds would be good.
I think probably 8 or 9 but anything less will help her. She will eat anything. In fact I gave her a couple of green beans the other day and she had no trouble eating them. I think that is a great idea to add bulk to her food, thanks for the tip, code2high and xteacher!!!
Every treat you feed (non-veggie) adds calories, so reduce her food amount if you want to continue the treats. Just remember, these are empty calories, just like us eating potato chips. If she loves green beans and baby carrots, I would only feed these - just sayin'.
