Dangerously low temps/Florida warnings for pets??

I know it's all relevant BUT: I am from up North and it still cracks me up when the temps here in Florida get to what THEY call 'dangerously cold'. Here is the warning on the home page of the el...

Yes, its all relative, two weeks ago, the temps were a balmy -2c about 28F and the garbage collectors were on the open trucks, working in short sleeve t-shirts. When I was out walking, I saw a person outside in shorts, but he had a long sleeve t-shirt on, no jackets. I was layered up, wearing a shirt, sweater and winter jacket.

Ken wishing that We (I) was in Florida, its warmed up to only -15c (5F)
