WARNING-Danger! Good Sam's stranded Disabled Elderly Couple!
Returning from Mayo Clinic in JAX FL, where my husband was evaluated for a liver transplant, our camper truck broke down 10 miles outside Ardmore OK, at 1pm. Good Sam would not come rescue us, even though we told them we were both disabled and elderly - especially my husband in bad shape. Good Sam said "tomorrow morning" they'd tow us. We were stranded & terrified in hot sun on hwy until 6pm. I was about to call 911, when a stanger drove up & pulled us with his heavy chain, to Ardmore near a motel where we could put my seriously ill husband in bed to elevate his extremely swollen legs. We called Good Sam's informing them of our relocation & to come get us! My husband was unable to walk and was gasping for air. He suffers from varices, ascites, edemas & more symptoms from liver cirrhosis caused by Hepatitis from tattoos when 13 yrs old. NEXT-Good Sam's forgot about us the next morning! We called them again, whereby they towed our truck to a nearby auto repair service who tried to steal our truck! When we mercifully got back home to NM, my husband was in severe condition & was TWICE admitted to ER. My husband suffered severely and the emotional stress and physical strain has set my own health back seriously. A true Good Samaritan RICK JONES, saved our lives! BEWARE Good Sam Roadside Assistance because your lives may depend upon my sound ADVICE! Pam, the Good Sam Rep, said she'd report the incident to headquarters & asked that she not be held to blame - but she didn't report anything to anybody apparently. THX
