If I had my way, we would have a couple of Doxies. Growing up we always had a Standard. My Mom got a Mini Dapple Female pup (Trouble) which she had until Trouble was almost 14 and she just could not take care of her anymore. So off to Maryland from Florida to bring Little Trouble "Home". She was with us for about 1 1/2 years before the time had come.
One thing that I discovered, it's not a Good Idea to have two German Females living under the same roof, DW and Little Trouble. While my Wife Loved Trouble with all of her heart, it was funny (to me anyway) to watch two stubborn Females interact with each other. LOL So, no more Doxies for me but they will always be my favorite Pups.
