Pops I'm with you 100% on this. There's been a couple times out camping i will have Sampson who is blind in one eye and we will be walking out in the woods where we camp frequently, he will either stop and just growl and be on point while getting between me and whatever he saw or sensed. I will never see or hear a thing but he sure did.
Now talking about smell and sensing something, back about 10 years ago i fell on the ice and broke my ankle and had surgery and was layed up for 6 weeks. Anyway my leg was in a cast to my knee. I was home unable to work and our Puggie RIP layed at my feet and licked a soft spot in my cast directly where the break was. I was out on pain meds not knowing what he was doing.
That still amazes me to this day day that he knew the exact spot of the break when i was in a cast.
