Until your Life Alert button is delivered! ;) Try using a garden knee mat. When our dear Duchess girl was still with us that really saved my knees at bath time. The mat stays in place better than a rolled up towel.

You must have been a fly on my wall! I HAVE been using the rolled up towel trick to kneel on! I'll have to try that garden mat. TKS.

It's not so much my knees, but my back! That's why the $10.00 bucks (well $12.00 bucks with the tip) is money well spent even during the summer months!

Pet Supplies Plus also has self service dog washes, and I've even seen some dog wash kiosks next to self service car washes.

Having two water type dogs, one would think that it would be easy to bathe them, however, both are adverse to the tub, both like to swim, but that bath thing is just an awful, horrible ordeal, especially the smaller one is convinced that we are torturing her.

Do you find that most of them have this self service or very few?

Quite a few, but the best way to find out which location is closet to you is go to Petco's web site. place your zip code in the store locator. When you're in that page (the page with the map showing all the Petco locations in that area), look to the left, then check the "Self-service Pet Wash" box, click on find / search.

What I've found (but call to confirm) is the Grooming Salon opens earlier then the store. Since I go in early, I call ahead to schedule a time when I'll be in. This way you'll be sure the tub will be open.

For example, the Petco we'd go to when we were in Victorville had two large tubs (both are used for grooming large dogs, as well as self-service clients). The Grooming Salon opened at 8AM, but the girl at the saloon said she arrives early. I'd call ahead of time, and if she was working that day, she'd let us in at 7:30AM.

Where as the Salon at Petco in Surprise opens at 8AM. But they only have one large tub (again, used for grooming large dogs, as well as self-service clients). However, so far I haven't called ahead of time, but since we arrive at 8AM (on a week day M - F), I never had to wait.Pops

One thing bout the motty home Doctor DOC is there ain't enough hot waters in the hot water heater. I take 30, 35, 40 minute baths! N' I like me baths with lots of hot waters.

Cept may be during the summer time. But then again, in AZ, there ain't nothing cold cept whats in the frigerrater.
