The campground we were in last week charges a pet fee of $3.25 for the complete stay and I see why. They have doggy poop bag stations throughout the camping area and signs saying "Clean Up After Your Pet" and you will still see people who think it doesn't apply to them.
Our 2 Collies don't get out of the truck or trailer without being hitched up first... especially at rest stops and I've always got the pooper scooper in my hand when the Collies are out for any type of walk & I clean up after them. They are never allowed to run loose in the campground or other campers sites. We have separate longer outdoor ropes for them when we sit outside.
There are too many inconsiderate / irresponsible pet owners camping these days that don't care about rules or regulations,we see it on just about every camping adventure we go on. They are the ones ruining it for the rest of us.
I don't hesitate to call the park rangers/management etc when I see rules blatantly ignored.
